Caritas Community Focus is the Northern Cape's broadest social care network — four separate NPO-registered entities operating under a single umbrella, serving children, families, adults, and elderly persons across Kimberley, Barkly West, Vryburg, and surrounding communities. Their Therapy Centre, opened in May 2016, represents a rare resource in the Northern Cape: a multi-disciplinary professional therapy service that accepts most medical aids and SAMBA cards, making it accessible to people who could not otherwise afford professional psychological care.

Caritas Therapy Centre — Trauma, Abuse, and Psychological Support The Therapy Centre, opened in 2016 at the Kimberley head office, provides professional therapy across a multi-disciplinary team including a Counselling Psychologist (M.Soc Sc, UFS) and other specialists. Areas addressed include: - Trauma therapy (including for survivors of sexual and physical abuse) - Play therapy for traumatised children aged 3–18 - Stress, depression, and anxiety - Family therapy and couples counselling - Trauma and bereavement - The Give a Child a Chance programme — targeted therapeutic support for children exposed to abuse - A Trauma Reeks (Trauma Series) of structured therapeutic support programmes

Services are covered by most medical aids. Debit cards and SAMBA cards accepted.

Child and Youth Care Centre — Jannie Roux Campus, Barkly West Situated at 2 Herberden Road, Barkly West, the Jannie Roux Campus provides full residential care for 85 children in need of care, offering statutory child protection services alongside therapeutic support: - Addressing basic physical, emotional, religious, and educational needs - Assessment and counselling of traumatised children - Statutory services under child welfare legislation - Social worker, psychologist, psychiatrist, and occupational therapist support - Play therapy programmes for ages 3–18 - Medical services via clinics, hospitals, and doctors - Life skills and stimulation programmes

Family Care Centres — Kimberley and Vryburg Two Family Care Centres serve individuals and families in Kimberley (Northern Cape) and Vryburg (North West Province), offering: - Early intervention and statutory intervention - Counselling for persons who have been sexually abused - Protection of children and foster care and adoption - Parental guidance and parenting programmes - Life skills for children and adults - HIV/AIDS prevention and alcohol and drug counselling - Poverty alleviation support - Family reunion services

13 Early Childhood Development Centres Thirteen ECD centres across the Northern Cape and North West Province provide quality early childhood education for young children in some of South Africa's most under-resourced communities.

Homes for Elderly Persons Residential care facilities for older persons provide dignified, supported living for elderly community members in the Northern Cape and North West.

Caritas Therapy Centre Training Unit Caritas trains practitioners through its Therapy Centre Training Unit — building local capacity for trauma-informed care across the Northern Cape.
