About
God's Hope Community Organisation was born in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when founders Frank Matovu and Charle Kiti saw 10 helpless children from remote families whose parents had died from COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS — and simply opened their doors. What began as a informal charity was formalised as a registered NPO in 2021. Today, they support more than 100 children aged from one month to 18 years, providing food, clothing, mattresses, blankets, toiletries, toys, and basic care in a community where Limpopo is home to more than 2.5 million orphans.
Their mission is expressed in the simple question they ask every day: Who will stand in the gap for these? Who can give hope to the hopeless?
This listing is relevant to survivors in the Polokwane area who have children in need of care and support, or who want to connect vulnerable children in their community with God's Hope's network. The organisation also specifically works with women providing care for orphans in rural areas — building their capacity to sustain that care.
What They Offer Children and Families
Care for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children God's Hope provides food packages, clothing, blankets, mattresses, and basic necessities to over 100 children — including those orphaned by HIV/AIDS or COVID-19, children who have been neglected or abandoned, and children from families who simply cannot provide for them.
Support for Women Caregivers in Rural Areas A specific focus of God's Hope is identifying women in rural areas who are caring for orphans and vulnerable children — and building their personal and organisational capacity to continue that work. This recognises that in Limpopo's rural communities, women are often the last line of care for children abandoned by a broken system.
Community Feeding Regular food distributions and feeding initiatives ensure that children in God's Hope's network do not go hungry — addressing one of the most immediate and measurable forms of childhood suffering.
Child Sponsorship — R50 Per Month God's Hope invites community members to sponsor a child for R50 per month — making it possible for even the most modest donors to make a real, lasting impact on a specific child's life.
God's Hope is in Polokwane, Limpopo. Contact them on +27 78 700 0577 or info@godshopeorphanagesouthafrica.org.
