Consulting, Training, and Mentoring for Schools and Organisations** JPCCC provides professional development and capacity-building: - Training for teachers, social workers, and community practitioners - School consultation on child mental health, behaviour, and family engagement - Mentoring for organisations working with children and families **GBV relevance:** JPCCC is not a GBV crisis or shelter service. However, it is a critical referral for: - **Children and adolescents who have experienced abuse** — child sexual abuse, domestic violence, neglect; JPCCC's therapeutic services are specifically designed to address the psychosocial consequences of abuse in children - **Families affected by DV/GBV** — JPCCC's family therapy approach can support post-crisis family stabilisation - **Parents of abused children** — parenting support and guidance through the trauma of discovering their child has been abused - **School-based referrals** — teachers and social workers identifying children in abusive home situations can refer to JPCCC - Non-profit sliding scale fees make services more accessible than fully private practitioners

Housed within the historic Children's Memorial Institute (CMI) complex in Parktown — a building shared by 23 NGOs providing specialist services for vulnerable children — JPCCC offers short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families (trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, behavioural and developmental difficulties); educational, psychological, and career assessments; and consulting, training, and mentoring for schools and organisations. For GBV survivors, JPCCC is the right referral when children (or adolescents) in the family have experienced or been exposed to abuse and need professional therapeutic intervention — and when parents need support to help their child heal.
