They are a nationally operating trust that takes on specific cases of need referred to them — particularly people with disabilities, elderly individuals, and those in extreme poverty. They are most relevant to survivors who need emergency practical assistance and are not being served by other means.

What They Offer

Emergency Assistance — Individual Case Advocacy Mohau Cares takes on difficult, overlooked cases of urgent need — assisting people who have fallen through the cracks of other systems. This includes sourcing and funding wheelchairs and mobility devices for people with disabilities, emergency food and material relief, and connecting people with resources they have been unable to access elsewhere. Food, Clothing, and Shelter Their primary focus is providing basic necessities — food, clothing, and shelter — to individuals, families, and communities struggling financially.

Vocational Training and Economic Empowerment Economic empowerment programmes offer skills training and practical resources for individuals to become more self-sufficient — addressing poverty at its roots rather than only treating symptoms.

Healthcare Access Healthcare is included in their relief programming — connecting vulnerable people with health services and support.
