New Life Centre (Bellville)

New Life Centre in Bellville is a registered non-profit residential home that provides a place of safety, support, and counselling specifically for women who are pregnant as a result of rape, abuse, or other traumatic circumstances — and who are in a pregnancy crisis. Founded by Bellville Methodist Church out of a deep concern for women left without support, the centre offers a warm, non-judgmental environment grounded in Christian faith and values.

Please note: New Life Centre accommodates only pregnant women in crisis — not babies, children, or non-pregnant individuals. If you are pregnant because of rape or abuse and do not know where to turn, this centre is specifically designed for you.

What They Offer Survivors

Residential Safe Accommodation New Life Centre provides a safe home for pregnant women in crisis — particularly those who have experienced rape, abuse, or trauma. You will be accommodated with compassion and dignity while you navigate your pregnancy and decide on your next steps.

Counselling and Emotional Support Trained social workers and house parents provide individual counselling to help you process trauma, work through your options, and make decisions about your future and your baby's future in a supported and informed way. The environment is centred on unconditional love and acceptance — never pressure or judgement.

Support for All Decisions Whether you choose to keep your baby or to place your baby for adoption, the New Life Centre is there to walk that journey with you. They provide guidance and practical support for both paths, including facilitating adoption processes through the proper legal channels if that is your choice.

Spiritual Support (Optional) As a faith-based home, spiritual support through church attendance and daily devotions is part of the community life. This is offered as a source of comfort and healing, not as a condition of staying.
