About

About the Thohoyandou / Tshilidzini Thuthuzela Care Centre

The Thohoyandou TCC — located at Tshilidzini Hospital — is a government-operated, 24-hour one-stop facility for survivors of rape, sexual assault, and gender-based violence. It is situated at Tshilidzini Hospital, R524 Punda Maria Road, Tshisaulu, 0945, in the Vhembe District Municipality, Limpopo province.

Tshilidzini Hospital is a large regional hospital serving the Vhembe District — one of Limpopo's most culturally and linguistically diverse regions, home to Tshivenda, Xitsonga, and other language communities. The TCC serves Thohoyandou, Louis Trichardt (Makhado), Sibasa, and surrounding rural communities across the Vhembe District, including areas near the Zimbabwean border.

It is operated by the NPA's SOCA Unit in partnership with the Limpopo Department of Health and other government departments.

Name Note

The TCC is referred to as the "Thohoyandou TCC" in the official NPA documentation, and as the "Tshilidzini TCC" in some references (after the host hospital name). Both names refer to the same facility.
